Lip Thread

Attain fuller, more defined lips with PDO Threadlifts.

Lip threading is a nonsurgical procedure which uses small dissolvable threads to smooth out fine lines around your mouth and boost collagen production, which may reduce wrinkling in the future. Unlike lip fillers that add volume to your lips, lip threading adds curve and definition, primarily to the cupid’s bow area of your upper lip.

Lip threading appeals to people who want a natural look, rather than the pouty, plump look that lip fillers provide.

What is PDO?

Polydioxanone Threadlifting (PDO) has become a popular aesthetic trend to improve lip shape through skin tightening, lifting and rejuvenation. PDO threadlifting has been indicated as effective and safe with less pain and downtime than surgical interventions.

PDO Threadlifts PDO Threadlifts with Absorbable PDO Threads or Barbed Threads are performed by Dr Bonnie Gong, a surgeon and OB GYN for over 30 years.

This minimally invasive, non surgical procedure will tighten and lift using absorbable PDO Threads, which are hypodermic needles preloaded with an absorbable PDO suture. Once inserted, the skin will begin to heal itself by creating new collagen naturally!

What Happens to the Threads?

Your skin fully absorbs the threads within 4 to 6 months and won’t leave any scar tissue. The real magic happens over time.

There are two procedures with PDO Threadlifts:

Smooth Threads

Using Smooth threads, a mesh is created under the skin that serves as the foundation for new collagen production, tightening the skin from within. Results appear naturally, without drastic changes.

Barbed Threads

Barbed threads provide a grip underneath the skin that can be pulled in 1 of 2 directions for more drastic and immediate skin positioning. Like Smooth threads, the skin will build new collagen which will secure the lift!

If your skin has fine lines, is thinning, or starting to look crinkly/crepey, using PDO Threadlifts can revitalize the collagen in your skin and reverse the effects of time.
